A unique cultural exhibition on display as part of Macclesfield Textile Week.


Blanket Statements explores the human connection to textiles, and the meaning behind the humble blanket. This exhibition will contain displays of beautiful needlework, crocheted, and knitted blankets crafted and brought in by the Macclesfield community to be admired and celebrated. Every blanket tells a personal story, with love, friendship, and connection in every thread.



What to expect

  • FREE entry, with donations towards ongoing church renovations welcomed

  • Displays of incredible needlework, crocheted and knitted blankets

  • The stories behind the blankets and textiles, and how they have created connections between us all throughout history

  • Refreshments will be available to purchase from the Christ Church Cafe

19th September to 27th September, opening at the following dates and times


  • Saturday 19th and 26th: 11am - 4pm

  • Sundary 20th and 27th: 11am - 4pm

  • Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th: 6pm - 8pm
